Earlier today the Austin Council voted to approve an employment contract with T.C. Broadnax.
A notable point is that Mr. Broadnax will begin as City Manager on Monday, May 6th.
We'll be monitoring interim developments around this, particularly City of Dallas staff moves related to Mr. Broadnax's hiring.
Additionally, we’ve received word that Brie Franco, the city of Austin’s Intergovernmental Relations Officer, has retired from the city.
She received a Distinguished Service Award at today’s Council meeting.
This is important because role serves as the focal point in developing and steering the City of Austin’s State Legislative and Federal Agendas, including hiring the city’s lobby teams.
